Emotion: 2

I am a little frustrated in that it seems I cannot find the TIME to get surveys out so I can gather data.

I finally tallied the MAP motivation survey from the 5th grade. I was a bit surprised by the results in which the boys and girls had close to the same percent that were/were not motivated. I thought for sure that the boys would of had a higher percentage motivated by food. Hmm???

  1. Interesting results for sure!

As far as time to make sure that the surveys get out, could you email them to teachers? Even if your surveys are for the kids, you could ask the teachers to print and hand them out. Give some sort of a time limit and them just start analyzing your data. Would that work or do you want to be the one administering the survey?

  2. Just time to create survey. I think I could email the teachers with the survey.

  3. TIME? That's a hard one. I agree with Kara. It would be much easier to ask teacher to print out and administer the survey.

  4. Michelle,
I would be willing to help you create the survey. I could put in a half hour with you afterschool one day, and help you think it through. Setting a meeting time with me might help you commit to it, too.
Or, maybe you get Oren, or your daughter to create the survey-it would be good for their mathematical thinking, even if it's just a draft for you. Ain't that what having kids is for? Free labor?

  5. I agree with Aaron, setting a time where you are meeting with someone else might help (or force) you to get it done plus you are getting their ideas for your survey which will help take some of the pressure off of you! The idea of having your kids do the survey is great too! See why I want 4? I will never have to do anything! Haha!
